It's Bridal Show Time!

Here are some helpful suggestions that will get you the most out of Bridal Shows. 

1. Register

• Not only does it save time at the door, it gives you more time inside checking out all the vendors. And some shows have a discounted price for pre-registered brides!

2. Do your homework

• Most newspapers publish a bridal guide – like the one found in Kamloops This Week sent out the week before the big Kamloops Bridal Fair at TRU.  Read through it!

• Find out what vendors are going to be at the show and make a note to check them out with your prepared your questions. 

• Before the show, check social facebook and twitter to see if your vendors are offering a show special. 

• Set up a wedding email account.  On the day of the show you’ll be giving your information to plenty of vendors and you may not want to be on their mailing list forever. Having an account that is strictly wedding only can be helpful.

3. Show time!

• The day of the show wear comfortable shoes and dress in layers.  There is usually a coat check but some shows are held in arenas or convention centres that are either too chilly or too warm.

• Bring your camera or phone with camera and snap a shot of the booths you are interested in.  It will help you remember who was who!

• Bring address labels. It makes filling out any draws that much easier – but if you aren’t able to get labels in time for the show – bring your maid of honor…   :)
  

• Make sure you bring a bag, trust me vendors give out flyer after flyer and you can only hold so much in your hands!
  
  

Make the most of attending the bridal shows. Grab some friends and family to come along and make a great day of it.  Enjoy each others company and check out what’s hot in weddings. And most importantly, have fun!
