Rooftop weddings are wildly popular these days! You get an amazing backdrop view of the ocean with the comfort of a solid floor to walk towards the love of your life. In case you don't know - walking in the sand in heals is almost impossible! High heals plus soft sand can lead to wobbly walking! But on a rooftop the only one weak in their knees will be the person waiting for you at the end of the aisle. Another great reason to host your ceremony on a rooftop is the added feature of privacy. So no wedding crashers or looky loos watching you say I do! Rooftops locations can host your ceremony, cocktails and reception party so it's a great option for those wanting to keep the party all in one location. On your wedding day you'll feel on top of the world so this rooftop at Dreams Tulum Resort is perfectly fitting! Plus, those pink chairs! *swooning* 🥰😍🥰😍🥰😍🥰 Here are a few other rooftop venues perfect for hosting your destination wedding events. Follow along

I know you've heard it before but its worth repeating, 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙗𝙚! Your wedding is a big deal, 𝙬𝙚. 𝙜𝙚𝙩. 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩! Most destination weddings are booked about 12 to 14 months prior to saying I Do. So, you'll be working with your travel agent and wedding planner for a long time. Think of all that can happen in 14 months; Birthday celebrations, 4th of July, Thanksgiving and all things Pumpkin Spice, Santa dropped off presents, New Year's Eve kisses, Heart-shaped chocolate boxes on Valentine's day, the Easter bunny comes, babies are born... OMG the list goes on. I can't stress this enough - you have to like who you're working with. Everyone's goal is an amazing wedding to be shared with friends and family and an unforgettable vacation experience. Throughout the year process you need to work with someone who understands your expectations, vision, lifestyle, sense of humor (we can't take everything so serious). It doesn't hurt to have some common ground, perhaps a favorite wine or can't miss tv show, or favorite sports team! Get to know each other. Maybe you both belong to book clubs, or have a shared love for golden retrievers, or you can't go a week without hitting up a hot yoga class. Our clients are not a number or just another wedding. We love to get to know our couples and their guests and creating friendships with them! So I'll 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙖𝙙𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚: when vetting your travel agent / wedding planner absolutely yes, make sure they're well versed in group travel, destination weddings and the resort/venue and promotions that apply but also get to know them. Find out a bit about them and see 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙟𝙞𝙫𝙚! And hey, if we aren't your style that's okay too! Different strokes for different folks 😉 Did you know you can book up to 39 rooms for your destination wedding with only a $500 deposit!
Want to start the process of planning your destination wedding? Fill out this form and we will be in touch ASAP. This is Casey. She's a big part of Wedding Butlers. She's our behind the scene support, whether it be during client calls or creating wedding websites, planning your big day, arranging travel reservations, preparing invoices or sending travel documents she is always next to us (or stealing our chair). She's an international traveler too! She's lived in Mexico! She's been to several resorts and all inclusives so she can recommend the best dog friendly ones! She's even been in a destination wedding herself as the ring dog and totally stole the show (apologies to her auntie Pannie). With her extensive past staying at amazing resorts and a former destination wedding PAW-ty member she is your go-to for advise on how to walk down the aisle and deliver the rings. Casey's a huge part of our life and business! We know how much pet family members mean to our clients and clients to be. We are fortunate to now have several resorts throughout Mexico and the Caribbean who feel the same about our furry family members and can't wait to welcome and spoil them! To date, Casey has been on 17 international flights and all have been smooth sailing. The process may seem overwhelming to bring your dog with you -- but rest assured it's EASY PEASY! Although there is paperwork involved with traveling to another country with your dog it's all pretty straight forward. This is just another area of travel that we can help navigate and guide you through. Are you thinking of including your dog at your destination wedding and need help to do so? We're the experts!

Let's face it - there's already way too many complicated things in life: Starbucks coffee orders, choosing which gym to get a membership at, potty training kids! But this doesn't need to be as complicated as a 2008 Facebook relationship status! Check it out in real time!First: Wedding EviteWe create a complimentary evite for all of our couples. Our wedding couples provide us with their guests' email address, that we input into our mailing system. From there we send each guest the evite. This is an awesome system - we are able to monitor it and see if and when guests open and click the evite. We can also see who hasn't opened it so we can re-send it or advise the wedding couple that a guest of theirs hasn't opened the evite. Second: Wedding WebsiteWe create a complimentary wedding website for all of our couples. The website contains all the need to know information about the couples' wedding - hotel amenities, accommodation options, flight info, costs, payment due dates, how to pay, how to contact us, and a booking form. The booking form is super easy to use, simply fill out all the required fields with your information and click "book". After submitting your booking form you'll receive an email with your confirmation and invoice from us within 2 business days - but typically get this to you the same day you book! Take advantage of the $500 wedding promotion!
For only a $500 deposit from the wedding couple you can book up to 39 rooms for your group. Learn more here This is our NUMBER ONE question and explaining it has several variables!
Here's the low-down on the BASICS: ● a group reservation means everyone is booked through one supplier, as one reservation
● booking as a group allows far more flexibility on the reservation payment
● group reservations have flexibility on changes
●booking as a group reservation qualifies the wedding couple for exclusive promotions like earning room upgrades (for themselves or to give out to their guests), flight credits (to save money on airline prices--in some cases flying for free!), wedding package promotions (like free welcome cocktails, free group check in, free rehearsal dinner, etc.), and even free rooms which essentially is a dollar value that can be applied towards guest reservations, their own reservation, or taken as money to use towards their wedding costs or paying for a group excursion like a group sunset catamaran!! There are so many reasons why a group reservation is ideal for a destination wedding. You would be missing out on so much if you choose to go the route of Individual Reservations! Want to learn more about how to get started? Is a group reservation is right for you? Or, ready to talk about your destination wedding!? Reach out! Let us help make your dream wedding come true!Below I will guide you through where to start with your destination wedding. I have broken down my weddings that I've booked from 2017, 2018 and 2019 so you can see how travel costs, wedding prices and promotions work. Here you can see proof of past, current and future weddings. I have included hotels in each destination so you know where to start looking. Before you start looking up resorts all over Mexico and the Caribbean you need to narrow down 2 budgets. At the same time you need to consider your wedding date, does it fall over a holiday or peak time of year as you may have to increase the travel budget to accommodate or be flexible on the date/month. 1. You and your guests travel budget. 2. Your wedding budget. Without having planned a wedding before you are asking the same questions... how to estimate travel budget? and wedding budget? without knowing where to start!? I have calculated the nightly average price from 3 years of weddings that I have booked between Mexico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Costa Rica to give you an average cost that is accurate to present day. The average nightly rate worked out to $185.50 per person per night x 2 adults in the room is = $371 per night. If you stayed for a week that is $1,298.50 per person for 7 nights. Average wedding cost of $7,486 with an average of 42 guests for food, drinks, décor, DJ, dance floor with ceremony, 1 hour cocktail, 3 hour dinner reception. Average free room or free guest promotion couple received $5,194. How do free rooms work? One of best promotions that quite a few different brands of hotels are offering is every 6th room free (average is maximum of 3 free rooms). What that means is when final payment of your group is finished the hotel gives the wedding couple the monetary amount of the free room. To keep it simple if the cost of the week is $2,597 and you have 12 rooms book that is $2,597 X 2 free rooms = $5,194. If you had 18 rooms that would be $7,791 that you would receive. What most couples do is reduce their travel costs and then put the rest towards the wedding but you may do what you wish. Total costs for hotel for 1 week =$2,597 Total wedding cost =$7,486 Total =$10,083 PROMO -$5,194 ($2,597 x 2 free rooms) New Total = $4,889 What isn’t included is photography and flights to the destination.
Now that you know what an average wedding costs you can decide if you want go up or down in your travel budget and wedding budget.
