Group VS Individual Reservation

This is our NUMBER ONE question and explaining it has several variables!

Here's the low-down on the BASICS:
● a group reservation means everyone is booked through one supplier, as one reservation

• this does NOT mean that all guests must do the same duration or room category

● booking as a group allows far more flexibility on the reservation payment

• meaning only a deposit is required to book, which may be fully refunded (unlike individual reservations where most require full payment at the time of booking)
  
• group deposit dates are usually within 90 days of making the reservation---or even later! VS Individual reservations typically require a deposit or full payment immediately

● group reservations have flexibility on changes

• meaning name changes, duration changes, room occupancy changes, room category changes all can be done with only a small fee, or none at all! VS Individual reservations have limitations on when changes can be allowed, higher change fees, and in the majority of individual reservations they do not allow changes at all!

●booking as a group reservation qualifies the wedding couple for exclusive promotions like earning room upgrades (for themselves or to give out to their guests), flight credits (to save money on airline prices--in some cases flying for free!), wedding package promotions (like free welcome cocktails, free group check in, free rehearsal dinner, etc.), and even free rooms which essentially is a dollar value that can be applied towards guest reservations, their own reservation, or taken as money to use towards their wedding costs or paying for a group excursion like a group sunset catamaran!!

There are so many reasons why a group reservation is ideal for a destination wedding.
