Rooftop weddings are wildly popular these days! You get an amazing backdrop view of the ocean with the comfort of a solid floor to walk towards the love of your life. In case you don't know - walking in the sand in heals is almost impossible! High heals plus soft sand can lead to wobbly walking! But on a rooftop the only one weak in their knees will be the person waiting for you at the end of the aisle. Another great reason to host your ceremony on a rooftop is the added feature of privacy. So no wedding crashers or looky loos watching you say I do! Rooftops locations can host your ceremony, cocktails and reception party so it's a great option for those wanting to keep the party all in one location. On your wedding day you'll feel on top of the world so this rooftop at Dreams Tulum Resort is perfectly fitting! Plus, those pink chairs! *swooning* 🥰😍🥰😍🥰😍🥰 Here are a few other rooftop venues perfect for hosting your destination wedding events. Follow along
Tis the season, am I right!? These Mistletoe Margs are a sure fire way to enhance your festive spirit. They're great for holiday parties, catching up with friends and family, even NYE parties! In my opinion these are the perfect cocktail to sip while gift wrapping, baking holiday treats, and creating clever Elf on the Shelf magic! I'm not sure about you, but margaritas always make me feel like I'm on a exotic beach with my toes in the sand. Here's my tip: crank up the thermostat or fireplace (or tune your TV to the fire show) and put on some tropical beach music while making these and really feel the margarita take effect! INGREDIENTS

Recipe from Jessica at How Sweet Eats Xcaret, pronouced SHH-car-et, is a Mayan word meaning "small inlet". Many tourists and visitors to the Cancun area know it as the BEST ATTRACTION to visit on vacation in Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Morelos and anywhere along the Riviera Maya. Xcaret is a water, theme, amusement, eco-archaeological park and more, in one place. Due to its privileged location in the Mayan jungle among underground rivers, cenotes and facing the Caribbean Sea, Xcaret has impressive scenarios where you can do different activities and enjoy to the fullest those scenarios. Besides that, Xcaret is a park that celebrates Mexico’s present and rich past, a country known for its traditions, culture and folklore. Xcaret opened in 1990 and since has become a landmark of Cancun and Riviera Maya, even considered my many, as THE destination of this region above the aforementioned. Its name means “small inlet” due to the fact that a portion of the Caribbean Sea enters the land. Because of this, the Mayans used Xcaret, know back then as Pole, as a merchandise port. With over 50 natural and cultural attractions where you and your family will get closer to each other by living together experiences close to the heart; and to nature, in a wonderful setting rich in fauna and flora. Discover why Xcaret is the most emblematic attraction in the Riviera Maya. Have fun in water activities that will take you to mystical places in the territories of Chaac, the Mayan god of water. Enjoy underground rivers, a beach area, a lagoon, and natural pools of seawater. For the little ones, there is a special area, Children’s World, where they can swim in shallow cenotes and wading pools designed for them. In the park you can visit the Coral Reef Aquarium and the sea turtle center. Learn more about regional flora and fauna at the Butterfly Garden, the Aviary, the Rainforest Trail, and the Living Orchid and Bromeliad Museum. Additionally, in different sections of the park you will see jaguars, manatees, flamingos, spider monkeys and saraguato, bats, deer, and tapirs. Xcaret’s Butterfly Pavilion is the first butterfly breeding facility in Mexico. The structure is 49 feet high and has nearly 38,000 sq. ft. of free flying space, the largest such facility in the world. This Pavilion features only regional species in their natural habitats and its caretakers work diligently with some 5,000 butterflies in an intensive breeding program for 20 endemic species. Xcaret is home to more than 24 species of tropical birds, most from Mexico’s southeast. Today—mostly due to poaching, the destruction of habitats and the black market—many of these animals are on the endangered species list. To date, we have successfully reproduced the Scarlet and Military Macaw, Yucatan Green Parrot, Lilac-Crowned Amazon, Yellow-Headed Parrot, and Flamingos. Flamingos, one of the most admired species at Xcaret, are beautiful pink birds that have found refuge here. You will be able to find this beauty throughout the Park: at the entrance, river exit, at the beach and also at the reproduction area. On June 1st 2011, Xcaret was granted a Guinness World Record® for “most macaws born at a single location in one year”, the first of its kind granted to a Reproduction Program for endangered species One of the main reasons to visit Xcaret is the presentation Xcaret Mexico Espectacular, an experience that will give you goosebumps. In the park you can also enjoy the Papantla Flyers ceremony, the Equestrian Show, or the pre-Hispanic Dances in the Mayan Village. Do not miss the Mexican Folk Art Museum, the "Bridge to Paradise" Mexican Cemetery, and the Hacienda Henequenera. Visiting Xcaret Park is a must when you're staying in the Cancun - Riviera Maya region! There's so much to see and do and it's fun for all ages. Xcaret Park is just one of most popular attractions and tours but it's one not to miss!
Lastly, guests staying at Hotel Xcaret have full access to Xcaret parks, Xel-Ha, Xplor, Xplor Fuego, Xavage, Xoximilco, Xenses, and the Xenotes and Xichen tours, plus food and beverages and transportation between parks. It's one of the many reasons to stay at Hotel Xcaret to really have the full Xcaret experience! What's the best way to warm up when the temperature cools down? A spicy margarita! A spicy mango margarita to be exact! I love a good marg, maybe this is because I have spent years living in Mexico visiting beach bars all with margarita specials. I'm partial to Patron Silver but this cocktail can be enjoyed with any tequila. Fresh mangoes are great if in season, but don't let that stop you, frozen mango chunks work fine too! This cocktail pairs perfectly with chips, pico de gallo and guac, so grab your snacks and your blender and get ready to spice up these chilly nights!
This blended margarita is sure to warm you up. Whether you are sitting in front of a cozy fire in a snowy city or poolside in a warm weathered town this delicious drink will have you feeling like dancing to a mariachi band on Tulum beach! What's your favourite cocktail? Feel free to share in the comments - I'm eager to try new delicious drinks!
I know you've heard it before but its worth repeating, 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙗𝙚! Your wedding is a big deal, 𝙬𝙚. 𝙜𝙚𝙩. 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩! Most destination weddings are booked about 12 to 14 months prior to saying I Do. So, you'll be working with your travel agent and wedding planner for a long time. Think of all that can happen in 14 months; Birthday celebrations, 4th of July, Thanksgiving and all things Pumpkin Spice, Santa dropped off presents, New Year's Eve kisses, Heart-shaped chocolate boxes on Valentine's day, the Easter bunny comes, babies are born... OMG the list goes on. I can't stress this enough - you have to like who you're working with. Everyone's goal is an amazing wedding to be shared with friends and family and an unforgettable vacation experience. Throughout the year process you need to work with someone who understands your expectations, vision, lifestyle, sense of humor (we can't take everything so serious). It doesn't hurt to have some common ground, perhaps a favorite wine or can't miss tv show, or favorite sports team! Get to know each other. Maybe you both belong to book clubs, or have a shared love for golden retrievers, or you can't go a week without hitting up a hot yoga class. Our clients are not a number or just another wedding. We love to get to know our couples and their guests and creating friendships with them! So I'll 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙖𝙙𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚: when vetting your travel agent / wedding planner absolutely yes, make sure they're well versed in group travel, destination weddings and the resort/venue and promotions that apply but also get to know them. Find out a bit about them and see 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙟𝙞𝙫𝙚! And hey, if we aren't your style that's okay too! Different strokes for different folks 😉 Did you know you can book up to 39 rooms for your destination wedding with only a $500 deposit!

She's our behind the scene support, whether it be during client calls or creating wedding websites, planning your big day, arranging travel reservations, preparing invoices or sending travel documents she is always next to us (or stealing our chair). She's an international traveler too! She's lived in Mexico! She's been to several resorts and all inclusives so she can recommend the best dog friendly ones! She's even been in a destination wedding herself as the ring dog and totally stole the show (apologies to her auntie Pannie). With her extensive past staying at amazing resorts and a former destination wedding PAW-ty member she is your go-to for advise on how to walk down the aisle and deliver the rings. Casey's a huge part of our life and business! We know how much pet family members mean to our clients and clients to be. We are fortunate to now have several resorts throughout Mexico and the Caribbean who feel the same about our furry family members and can't wait to welcome and spoil them! To date, Casey has been on 17 international flights and all have been smooth sailing. The process may seem overwhelming to bring your dog with you -- but rest assured it's EASY PEASY! Our wedding couples provide us with their guests' email address, that we input into our mailing system. From there we send each guest the evite. This is an awesome system - we are able to monitor it and see if and when guests open and click the evite. We can also see who hasn't opened it so we can re-send it or advise the wedding couple that a guest of theirs hasn't opened the evite. Second: Wedding WebsiteWe create a complimentary wedding website for all of our couples. The website contains all the need to know information about the couples' wedding - hotel amenities, accommodation options, flight info, costs, payment due dates, how to pay, how to contact us, and a booking form. The booking form is super easy to use, simply fill out all the required fields with your information and click "book".
